Gemms has access to excellent distribution and storage facilities throughout the U.K
This includes both ambient and cold storage facilities. Ethylene scrubbers have been installed in the cold stores to remove ethylene and other hydrocarbon from the atmosphere, helping maintain quality the and shelf life of the products. Flowers/plants are always stored and distributed separately from fruit to stop ethylene contamination.
On a daily basis Gemms has distribution access to all the main supermarket pre-packers and wholesale markets throughout the U.K. These wholesale markets include New Covent Garden, New Spitalfields, Western International, Southampton, Brighton, Cardiff, Bristol, Leicester, Nottingham, Leeds, Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Gateshead and Glasgow. 
We also access secondary wholesalers and service providers located throughout the country. All vehicles are monitored via a 24 hours tracking system.
Quality control is an integral part of the Gemms operation, should products fall below standard we provide all suppliers with a detailed quality control report.
